GARDEN DESIGN

Ned McDowell offers highly professional garden designs for both small town and large country properties.

Ned has a Landscape Architecture Degree from Ryde Horticulture College graduating in 1985.

Ned delivers designs providing

• 30 years of horticulture and design knowledge and experience
• Economically realistic and practical 1 through to 5 year planting time frames
• Both original and innovative plans
• High quality hand drawn pencil, ink and watercolour plans
• Minimal maintenance
• Both frost and drought tolerant plant designs

Throughout his career Ned has designed many small and large private gardeners, nursing homes, hospitals and hotels both in country NSW and metropolitan Sydney. In addition he has designed gardens for hotels and resorts in Asia, principally in Thailand.

Ned is a successful visual artist, having had many solo and group exhibitions. He uses these wealth of skills learnt as an artist to provide cutting edge designs, based on perspective, structure, composition and space, use of colour, harmony, contrast and juxtaposition.

Ned also has a long and extensive history in retail nursery employment, either as an owner, manager or employee.
